As always, a beautifully wrought piece, built for the moment. "We are too easily drawn to the things that might kill us." In how many ways is this true? Why hasn't 'survival of the fittest' saved us from the ice-cream urge, something wrong with Darwin's theory? And all of our physical and mental risk-taking activities in this life; we are a species that pokes Fate in the eye. Speaking of which, while we might curl-up in the wee hours in reaction to the News of the Day, we should be clear-eyed and not shrink from news of the current day-to-day predations, and try to focus with vigor on how to proceed.
